This.
Is the problem.
It's a remarkable difference between the conservative mindset and the progressive mindset. Of the five or ten available options, if none of them suit the progressives' ideological needs? They'll go build number eleven.
Nothing about your comment indicates a willingness to get outside the market and disrupt it. But your comment is actually two sided, because if any conservative did think they could try to be a disruptor there's nobody standing around them willing to help them build it. You want Rome but Rome wasn't built in a day.
Let's say Salvavida did create his own conservative alternative "cTunes", just to be cute with Apple's product name. You wouldn't buy it. You would refuse to participate. So why would he bother?
We're willingly stuck with our own chainsaws to our own kneecaps.
Salvavida: "There is YUGE market for a conservative to bust down the doors and come up with a similar but better platform. But nothing."
Honestly, no, I really don't think there is. I offer the above comment as proof. You've got no buyers and no users, that's why there's no products. Nobody wants product number eleven. They'll just pick one from the five or ten available, and then complain about the wokeness. That is, after all, the reality that we have seen. It is because it is.
Rock/Pop, whatever kind of music has reached the point where there is literally nothing new under the sun and people will just listen to the classics.
Do people care about new symphonies? No, they stick to Beethoven, Bach, etc.
That’s where we are now with music in general. It’s all been done.

I differ to some degree with you. If a conservative would build even an equal mouse trap, if not better, people would gravitate to it. iTunes is hard to compete with, as was Twitter, Facebook, Starbucks, Amazon, etc. They’re good mouse traps. Rumble doesn’t have the library YouTube does, and Duck Duck Go doesn’t have the reach that Google has.
No, I wouldn’t refuse to participate, but it would be hard to gravitate to an inferior product.
