A shocking new video out of Crimea shows Russian efforts to recruit and indoctrinate kids by forcing them through military training exercises, including martial arts lessons and rifle-handling classes.
Shared by Russian state media, the disturbing recording shows a young boy and girl in Simferopol, the peninsula’s second-largest city, racing to assemble Kalashnikov-style rifles at their desks, according to a report from Business Insider.
When the two finish — within moments of each other — another student asks, “Who won?”
Then the video cuts to a group of Crimean schoolchildren toting rifles in what looks like the lobby of a building.
They drop the guns on command, then run through a pre-arranged series of martial arts techniques

I hear a new waffle house opening in Moscow.
These kids need to be trained.
Like the ISIS Terrorists the US Funded and Supplied in Syria?
Now the truth emerges: how the US fuelled the rise of Isis in Syria and Iraq
JROTC is for everyone in Russia.
My mother was on her high school’s rifle team — her English teacher (also coach of girls’ rifle team) asked her to join up as they were short for the girls’ team. Turned out, she was a natural and won a state trophy for her team.
The rifles were kept in a rack on the English teacher’s classroom wall. No kids touched them except the rifle team members when instructed to do so for practice under teacher supervision.
Can you imagine such a thing today?
I'm a retired military guy raising 3 kids by myself because wife was completely incapacitated by a stroke.
Yesterday, my 11-year-old got an overview of the 1903A3 Springfield, along with hands on training. This thread reminded me that I need to teach him how to field strip a Kalashnikov.
I'll be damned if my kids are gonna be poisoned by the trash taught in schools today.
So true. My Mom went to high school in the 1950s, I in the ‘70s. As best I recall, we did not have a rifle team, but if we had, I don’t think any of us would have messed with the rifles.
We were all good church-going kids from good two-parent homes. We went to church camp in the summers and all attended Young Life (nondenominational Christian youth group that was fun) on Thursday evenings. Sure, we got up to stuff and the boys sometimes drank beer in the parking lot, but that was about it. Oh, and sometimes smoked in the boys’ restroom, causing the chemistry teacher to plant stink bombs in the toilets to make them stop, lol.
But today? I can’t imagine having rifles in racks on classroom walls where kids could grab them now. Everything has changed, and yes, very depressing.
Today stupid Zoomers walk out of school to PROTEST guns, and parrot Marxist propaganda

MEANWHILE:
In 1943 I was a 14 year old sophomore in high school and all of the male students were given a military physical examination.
Because you have no concept of real war. You think it’s movie or tv war with 30 minute episodes and the series done by binging a weekend.
this war is a grinding mess of death, destruction and suffering on a scale that you can not even fathom.
When was the last time the United States lost a couple of thousand men every week?
The Ukes and Russians are doing that. You see all the civilians getting killed??
That’s what happens in a REAL war. Civilians are ALWAYS the largest number of casualties.
In a real war entire cities are burned to the ground or flattened.
Thank you for your post. I’m getting pretty tired of being accused of being a fan of Putin and unpatriotic merely because I want both sides to negotiate an end to this ongoing death and destruction. Both sides are at fault here, but that’s like blasphemy to the neocon Zeepers.
The Ukies are not the ultimate threat, they won’t be marching into Russia. NATO and the collective West is. Vlad is prepared for escalation/ aggression by the West.
So you ARE claiming that he has a vast store of modern weapons, years worth, and is holding them back from the 10s of thousands of his soldiers dying on the battlefield with shortages and old outdated weaponry when they can get any at all.
His army is dying, battles are being lost, world prestige has evaporated, and internal strife is brewing, so who is he going to issue all those vast stores of modern weapons to in your theory?
A big question is why is he begging for weapons from other countries if he is so well-stocked for years of “high-intensity warfare” and why is this war completely exhausting the military/industrial machine of Russia?
Well... We could always go with this one too, because he actually killed more people than HITLER... STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN, STALIN... I’ll save some time.... Etc. Vlad may even admire him even more so.
In WWII, how many German cities did the allied air forces, mostly USAF, level - properly so!!!
Or far more likely, Training 5th column then he’s gonna take them to south America then bring them over the border as Ukrainian Youth, instant admission.
well we "only" killed about 200,000 Japanese civilians and the US and allies only killed about 400-450,00 civilian in Germany... and in northern France, Holland and Italy aren't "counted" because... you know. Sh#t happens.
Cause when we bomb the crap out of a country, they deserve it and we are careful. It's not like we kill civilians all the time and even if we do..it's an "accident".
That's why you read and look at history files, books, and reports.
Of the 54 largest cities (>100,000 inhabitants) in Germany, only four survived without significant damage: Lübeck, Wiesbaden, Halle and Erfurt.
Worst hit was Würzburg (75 percent destroyed), followed by Dessau, Kassel, Mainz, and Hamburg.
Over 70 percent of the largest cities had their urban core destroyed. Worst cases: Dresden, Cologne, Essen, Dortmund, Hanover, Nuremberg, Chemnitz.
Of the 151 medium-sized cities (25,000-100,000), about a third lost at least 20 percent of their housing stock. In Bavaria, Thuringia, and Saxony, most medium-sized cities managed to make it through the war with little or no damage.
