Just draft lawyers to be PAs and public defenders. Shortage solved.
Bow to the criminals’ demands, or they’ll commit more crimes against us. They’re like the foreign dictators they admire.
Lock and load.
Well, you guys wanted the police defunded. That’s how it
works. I feel sorry for the segment of people who still
have a functioning brain there, but you Leftist can be
torn apart at the limbs for all I care.
Sane people tried to tell you where this would lead.
You flipped them off in return.
I hope not a single one of you Lefties own a gun.
criminals will turn to home break-ins as businesses flee city

Masters of the Obvious! Should be like shooting fish in a barrel for the criminals since most Portland residents are anti-gun and so pretty much defenseless!
If they try the home invasions in my area they get their inards smushed into the drywall with buckshot.

I was the victim of a home invasion in late January. I didn’t have a loaded weapon handy or someone would have died. It was around 9pm and I was on the crapper with the door closed. Just as I was ready to flush there was a hard knock on my bathroom door. I thought it was my girlfriend of 50 years trying to startle me. When I yanked opened the door there was a guy standing directly on the other side. I immediately pushed him backward and started screaming at him. In my living room was a woman intruder being confronted by my friend. I forced them both out the front door and they went off my porch and into a vehicle with high beams on that blinded me so I couldn’t see if someone else was in it or even whether it was a car or a truck.
Next day my neighbor who keeps track of everything on our farm roads found out who it was. The State police went to their home and they admitted what we had told the officer in a written statement. Turned out the man was an autistic youth (never did learn how old but he was taller than me and I’m 5’9”) and his moron of a mother. Went to court and the woman got sentenced to three years probation. The boy wasn’t charged. Now I have 4 loaded weapons around the house.
Shortly after this happened I attended a concealed carry class and related this story to the instructors. They knew all about it and now use it as an example in all their training classes.
I know dogs are not for everybody but you can rescue a mutt from your local pound that will bark if any potential intruders come anywhere near the house.
That deters most issues—and the perfect is the enemy of the good.
Do allow guns in the hands of law abidding citizens in Portland? Oh wait....never mind.

Coincidence that you should mention that at this time. I’ve been grieving big time since last Saturday when my dearly beloved rescued dog Archie crawled into a 12-inch corrugated PVC culvert line and died in there before we could get him out of it. He’s still in there and soon as the weather improves we’ll have to dig down and rip open the pipe to get him out. We adopted Archie about 12 years ago from a local pound. He was such an important part of my life I still cannot sleep a whole night without waking up thinking about him. Life can be REALLY hard at times like this.
