One of the progressive liberal politicians pushing for reparations in cash-strapped San Francisco also wanted to defund the police, and believes some Honduran fentanyl dealers are human trafficking victims who should be protected rather than prosecuted.
Hillary Ronen is one of the 11 supervisors who will decide on a wide-eyed reparations plan for the city's black residents that would pay them each $5million, promise them $97,000 salaries and wipe away personal debt.
Ronen, 47, is a Berkley Law graduate who owns a $2.4million home with her public defender husband. She says she 'can't wait' to get to work implementing the reparations.

I propose that all reparations be paid for by a Special Tax on the incomes, tips, wages and Assets of All Officers of the Court living or working in California

It is hard for me to believe that people like this even exist, much less have made some headway in politics. I can’t believe how much public discourse has shifted to the crazy in the past twenty years, but especially the last five or six.
I wonder if they’ve thought enough ahead to realize that the proposed payments are orders of magnitude above what SF can pay, and made plans to nationalize the debt they will incur, or at least make it a state obligation. Even then, it’s ridiculous. So many POCs will show up that SF will slide off the continent and sink into the sea.
