The footage shared Thursday morning by the US European Command (EUCOM) was captured by the underside camera of the MQ-9 Reaper drone as one of two Su-27 fighter jets attempted to spray it with jet fuel.
On the second try, the jet collides with the drone’s rear propeller, and the screen pixelates as communication goes down.
An audio clip also purported to capture a Russian salvage team recovering the aircraft’s engine casing.
“We raised part of the object,” one voice says in the recording obtained by East to West.

On the night of March 18, Ukraine was awakened by another wave of Russian strikes on military and energy infrastructure facilities throughout the country.
The locals reported that the explosions sounded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kiev, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Volyn regions. Air alert was sounded in a dozen regions, including the Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Kharkiv, Poltava, and those listed above.

Large explosions thundered the city of Novomoskovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional administration confirmed damage to the critical infrastructure facilities in the area.
Judging by the footage shared by the locals, Russian Geranium UAVs struck a fuel storage facility in the industrial zone located near the Novomoskovsk-Dneprovsky station.
