Fifty percent of law enforcement IS the enemy.
The left thought that way post-George Floyd, and it cost them at the polls. Many "progressives" who ran on a platform of "defund the police" lost to Republicans or more moderate Rats. I'd rather learn from the left's mistakes than repeat them.
Nobody here wants to coddle criminals.
Could have fooled me. Not you personally, but all the folks on this site referring to the Antifa disruptors as "political prisoners" and advocating for their release.

The people in prison aren’t Antifa — or they wouldn’t be in prison, as they’re an arm of the RAT Party. DOJ and FBI know how to sort them out. The J6 incarcerated ARE political prisoners — actual POWs.

How do they tell? Surely they don't just ask the arrestees their political views and expect an honest answer.

So if I understand you correctly every single Capitol police officer was given a list of all the Antifa disruptors (and there were a lot of them, judging by the photos I've seen) and told not to charge them with anything? Yet not a single one blabbed about this scheme on social media or turned the list over to Trump's people. I find that hard to believe, given that 50% of cops are NOT criminals according to your estimate and the number of dumb criminals posting incriminating evidence on social media for "likes".
If there's a silver lining to social media turning us into a society of attention whores, it's easier to discover a crime and the more people are involved in the crime the higher the probability of leaks is.
