Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he is “gravely concerned” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said the Ukraine war is a “territorial dispute.”
Guest host Mike Barnicle asked, “Senator, given the lit fuse that is Ukraine and Russia, and given what happened over the Black Sea, do you have any sense of the communication at the top of the house, each house, secretary of defense here, defense minister in Russia, Putin, the president of the United States, any sense at all of communication that might be going on between the two of them? Then as to your last point you made about Ukraine, what do we do about the surrender caucus on the other side of the aisle from you?”

Zelensky said he wanted to strike first.
No, he didn’t, but there was an internet effort to claim that.
“what do we do about the surrender caucus on the other side of the aisle from you?”
These guys speak as if they are Ukrainian nationals.
And as if Ukraine is their country.
Never stopping to consider, much less acknowledge the US has interests that are quite different, and DIVERGENT, from Ukraine.
Was Coons outraged back then?
The deep state wants their war and wealth. Their children will not be sacrificed.
What is the reason that the Ukraine feels owed the money to rebuild?
It is because they fight at the behest of USA.
Stole my response. Coons is disgusting.
you are the first person I have seen post here with direct anecdotal detail on this.
I am fascinated just by what you mentioned was being done.
there is something of a ‘national personality’ impression from all of this, though.
with UKR, I imagine a scolding nation, in varying degrees of profanity demanding other countries subsidize them to unlimited degree, and becoming profane and hysterical when rejected (often putting the sources of such rejections or unflattering comments on a kill-list).
these folks are psychotic. they actually put Musk (who provides their internet services..) on such a list. Multiple US journalists have found their way there as well.
I do not think that is imagination.
But if it is, please stop it.
musk on the kill list is not imagination.
what would normally be viewed as bizarre outbursts by officials when angry is not imagination.
pretty much everything any public official did on video or online posting is not.
the rest is just me filling in the (few) blanks.
Let me explain
You stated —
“with UKR, I imagine a scolding nation, in varying degrees of profanity demanding other countries subsidize them to unlimited degree, and becoming profane and hysterical when rejected (often putting the sources of such rejections or unflattering comments on a kill-list).”
It is off-speech to say “I imagine” when what follows was plain for all to see over the course of the past while.
So it could sound as if you are imagining it into being.
Which of course is ridiculous. Not funny at all.
Not any more.
I see our divergence. I am anthropomorphizing ‘Ukraine’. often you find cultural traits common enough that they are good to be aware of when dealing with certain cultures. this could be thought of that way, even though the picture it paints is not flattering, something like a low-grade confidence/extortion ring.
in any event, it seems you agree that everything after my dubious word use is reasonably accurate in reality itself. We agree there, though many here seem not to.
