Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s State Department of Business will strip the Hyatt Regency Miami of its liquor license for hosting a sexually explicit drag show with children in attendance.
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced in December they were investigating the “Drag Queen Christmas” all-ages drag show which took place in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration is revoking the Hyatt Regency Miami’s alcohol license for hosting a “sexually explicit show with children present,” according to governor’s office Tuesday.
“A Drag Queen Christmas” performed Dec. 27 at the James L. Knight Center, which is reportedly connected to the Hyatt Regency Miami.
The administrative complaint said minors younger than 16 years of age were at the show where “performers appeared on stage wearing sexually suggestive clothing and prosthetic female genitalia.”
The show allowed minors if they were accompanied by an adult.
On Dec. 27, 2022, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation warned the Hyatt Regency Miami against hosting a sexually explicit show with children present.
According to the department, the venue proceeded with their plans and conducted an investigation which determined that the venue violated Florida statutes.

They were lying.
Now that they are out of the closet and have been treated with tolerance, they have dropped the facade of civility. We can see them for what they were all along...full-blown pathological sex addicts who want nothing more than to spread their disease to every corner of the population (starting with children).
DeSantis is even handed - he won’t let nightclub strippers put on shows for children either.
And DeSantis’s newest one? He’s forbid doctor’s from sexually mutilating children. Yep, even if 6 year old Johnnie thinks he’s a girl, it’ll illegal to cut off his penis.
If Florida law makes it illegal for a venue to host an event like this to which children are admitted, is that the only penalty? Revoking the venue’s liquor license? Does this mean Florida venues which don’t sell liquor can hold drag-queen shows for kids with impunity?
Those days are long gone. Tolerance has turned into a demand you kneel at the altar of perversion and if you don’t, you will be cancelled, fired and all kinds of other stuff.
Nah, once the camels nose was under the tent, the dam was ready to burst..

Wouldn't the Mike Pence/ David French approach of nodding solemn disapproval but doing nothing because "muh limited gubmint principles" be so much more effective?
Or maybe DeSantis could have gone on Twitter like Trump and announced ( with irregular capitalization) "Hyatt must stop hosting Sex Shows for kids. I mean it this time!"
But instead Desantis actually did something to stop it.

You can look up Jennifer if you want, but be warned; the image is not intended for children or people with weak stomaches.

I have no idea how much this liquor license is worth, but in my small town of 50,000 an all-spirits license costs $1,400,000.
The loss of nearly $1.5 million would do LOTS of damage to a hotel...
