This is a distraction. They want you to blame high energy prices on the corporate aspect of utilities instead of the government regulatory aspect. To be honest, utilities are often in bed with local regulators as much as they're at odds with local regulators.
But the real culprit is the Democrats' national war on energy. When the local utility has to pay more for fossil fuels to power their plants, those costs are passed on to consumers. The same with when the Democrats force a utility to spend the large costs of shutting down a coal plant to replace it with a natural gas plant or undependable energy plant.

I don’t think she understands that they are trying to “Save the Planet” by making the use of Electricity Extremely expensive to curtail it’s use. Suck it up Denver, this is what you voted for

I wonder how much the average persons heating bill would be if instead of the CEO making 12 million, he only made 1 million and instead of 1.7 billion in profit Xcel only showed a profit of say 3 million?
I cannot understand why a CEO of a energy supplier is worth 8-12 million a year?
The PUC should be eliminated and Xcel taken over by a volunteer not for profit board elected by the customers.
