The Safeway app does that. I’ve never clipped coupons in my life, but I’m doing it now. Safeway had a special “$5 Friday” last week. Got two of their Signature Select frozen pizzas for $5. Got four Lean Cuisine frozen dinners for $10.
I’ve just about quit restaurants and am doing a lot of home cooking. Made a great basic casserole last night and used ground beef on sale at Safeway. I’ve gotten good at a quick stir-fry of sliced beef and veggies. The top sirloin goes on sale for $5/pound. Toss a few slices in the pan for a couple of minutes and it’s great with rice, on sandwiches, on eggs, or with veggies with a bit of Broccoli Beef Chinese sauce.
The BEST appliance we can all own is a crockpot-—At least 7 quart size.. About $30 at Wal Mart.
Can put pork roast in at 7-8 AM & serve ‘pulled pork’ at 5 or so. NO MUSS—NO FUSS.
I know one lady who puts all ingredients except some water into crock pot—takes it to her business—adds water —cooks it there, and takes it back home for dinner-—already prepared.
I don’t cook so I starve if the fast food joints close. Loads of emergency / storable food stuffs but no one to prepare it. I CAN handle heating the microwave “tv” dinners and do that occasionally.
