Decades ago I went to a college debate between G. Gordon Liddy and LSD advocate Timothy Leary. Leary got loud applause when he was introduced. Liddy was booed.
At the end of the debate Leary got polite applause. But it was Liddy who got the loud applause. Liddy was that good.
Liddy was that good. I came to be an admirer of his many years ago when I looked outside the lens of the media to see what he was really all about.
RE: Seeing Liddy versus Leary in person.
I vaguely remember that tour they had. Each could get something on the lecture circuit for their opposing views.
Wish I could have seen them.
I did see Timothy Leary speak in 1967 when he came to my university.
Theme included the replaceable robot parts of the elites who had children to fill the power roles of lawyers, judges, politicians and business owners to keep the closed circle going. Power types relied on power friends to crush the outsiders and keep it all going as it is.
He was right. The Swamp.
