Fostering DEI disciples in graduate programs is a dangerous game. This week a UNC law student was arrested and charged with domestic terrorism for participating in the Antifa attack on an Atlanta police training facility. According to the Carolina Journal, the student (who is male but identifies as she/they) described himself as, “a white trans femme organizer in Charlotte who is fiercely committed to supporting Black trans femmes, prison abolition, and destabilizing all forms of oppression.”
I predict lawsuits for medical discrimination and denial of services based on race. An angry parent will eventually seek retribution against a medical provider for denying their child a life saving service.
Someone will be shot over this in the end!
If only there were a way to drive them out of business.
So tired of this garbage.
Our local hospital, which is a training hospital for the nearby college med school, has a huge banner hanging outside the entrance: “Congratulations To Our Med School: Winner of the 2020 Excellence in Diversity Award.”
Gee, am I wrong to prefer that your med students were winning awards in, oh, I don’t know, “Excellence in Medical Care?”
Given that the UNC School of Medicine was paid to teach Laboratory Safety to the WUHAN Institute of Virology,
I have trouble taking them seriously on anything.
It’s politics, but it’s stupid politics... Excellence is out the window and trendy, political, feel good BS is invited in without the slightest thought of the consequences. That tells me people are mostly followers, even in, or especially in, academic and highly bureaucratic organizations. No responsibility, except for feel good selfishness and virtue performances. No thought just horseshit.
And after this abomination is over everybody will be saying the same thing Germans said after WWII: “I was never a Nazi.”
Affirmative action does not belong in medicine or aviation.
I could probably think of a few more places it doesn’t belong, but that would interfere with my reactionary posting.
Everybody, time to self-identify as a four legged critter and see your vet.
My vet is the only medico I still trust.
I can explain how a national divorce could work,,,
you get what you pay for.....
I can’t think of many worse places to put DEI in place than the medical field. Do you want your life in the hands of the BEST doctors? Or do you want a doctor who was hired to fill a quota?
Same goes for ESG applied to investments - do you want your future retirement in a portfolio of investments, selected because the underlying portfolio is chock-full of companies that worship the ESG gods, or one that is affirmatively living up to their fiduciary responsibility to the investors in achieving the best returns? Do you want your investment capital going to corporations that want to use YOUR investment dollars to advance THEIR societal goals and aspirations?
This s#*! has got to stop.
