There is a myth among the coloreds that White people are just given their jobs. They really believe that.

If he managed to land a crippled airliner in the East River, and I was aboard, I wouldn’t care about his voter ID or social media

Fine.

But if that is the case, he has no business enthusiastically empowering people who are relentlessly pursuing the very same policies that are responsible for the degradation of competency and quality in the aviation sector that he accurately highlights.

And a big part of this is the excessive overregulation and government intrusion (which if you support the Left, you implicitly support) and pressure on airlines to hire unqualified people to meet racial and sexual quotas, which if you support Leftists, you also support that.

I don’t give a damn about his opinion, it is just talk from him. I give him zero credibility.

He showed he was able to land on the water, not walk across it.

And by supporting Leftist causes, Sullenberger supported implicitly the vaccine, masking, and lockdown mandates.

Sure, Sullenberger will protest “I was not supportive of any of those things!” but when you support people who ARE, and those people don’t give a flying damn what happens to people who disagree with them (including nurses, doctors, and other healthcare workers who were sanctioned, forced out, or flat out fired, or pilots and other airline associated people who were forced into that same corner) You get healthcare and airline dysfunction.

He showed he was able to land on the water, not walk across it.

Kudos to his accomplishment, but did that automatically make him an authority on airline safety? I mean, if I successfully perform CPR on someone, does that make me a Director of Cardiology?

More and more aircraft accidents look like the results of lack of basic piloting skills (like pulling up after receiving a stall warning??).

In many cases, flight crews are being trained as system managers and rely too much on what the airplane is telling them to do, in a data flood, rather than controlling the airplane.

Exactly true. Again, I like people who speak out on things (especially things like airline and medical safety) but you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Which is what Sullenberger is doing.

His support of people like Joe Biden and Barack Obama cannot be unlinked from Airline or Medical safety or issues. Those people directly contribute.

Sullenberger allied with the Lincoln Project to support Joe Biden. And he has the STONES to come out and bitch about this kind of thing?

Sorry. I value veterans, and what they have done, but when they take up arms against their own country by backing the likes of this Marxist administration, he has shown he can fly a plane with the skill that a good backhoe operator can demonstrate by digging a hole for a foundation, but that is as far as it goes.

In any other aspect, he has no credibility, none.

Sullenberger endorsed Brandon in 2020 so he has no credibility on this issue.

I am an experienced Navy Pilot in big wings and carrier aircraft (with an ATP). Retired recently. No way in hell I’ll fly for the airlines with the vaxx shenanigans they pulled. Diversity hires are very dangerous. As I became more senior, I was always the one to train the military diversity pilots…terrible. With the decline of pilots coming out of the military, you have a pilot cadre who have minimal experience in flying aircraft under the strain of constant inflight emergencies (military aircraft are old and I swear toward the end of my career the aircraft had a problem inflight 25% of the time). These pilots will break under a major emergency.

High levels of pilot training and experience literally make the difference between success and failure, life and death.

OH it’s okay it’s all in the name of equality.

The NTSB will be issued spatulas and baggies for their investigations.

My son wanted to go to the Univ. of North Dakota to study. Told him I wasn’t going to let him go into $160,000 worth of debt for a $30,000 a year job. We had a neighbor who was an Air Force pilot & told him to join the military & let Uncle Sam teach him. He never dd and he’s getting to the age where he only has a year or two left if he wanted to make the jump. Ironically, he shared an apartment in DC with a friend whose dad has a big job with FedEx. Thought that might push him towards becoming one.
