However, this has nothing to do with that travesty. These people are upset that the criminal thugs in Atlanta were jailed for setting fires and destroying property at the new Law Enforcement Training center construction site.

I’m sure they would be, but bail has not been granted, except for the SPLC lawyer. It’s a real shame that ‘Cop City’ is in DeKalb County as opposed to Fulton County. I certainly can see the Fulton County DA not even bothering to bring charges—her office is tied up with going after President Trump’s phone call.

That was my first thought. However, the fact that the FBI would probably arrest any protesters and place them in jail along with the Jan6 Defendants may have something to do with it. When you have a politicized federal policing organization it tends to chill people’s willingness to speak out against the government.

Hanamizu is correct. Some Dem operative, I believe perhaps an elected official, threw the bail for the SPLC attorney who was the only one arrested who was granted release until trial under bond. Which I think was totally inappropriate, but I’m glad the judge didn’t grant it to anyone else.
