Chansley’s lawyers didn’t have access to these tapes.

IANAL but I think in order for a retrial to take place Chansley would have to recant his guilty plea.

I think the argument could be made that his guilty plea was obtained under severe/extreme duress, and essentially coerced. Wouldn't that be sufficient to render it invalid?
