It’s different though. I’m in CA. Since legalization the stench is everywhere. Better to keep it illegal but let’s say not all that prosecuted. That way it doesn’t have to bother everyone else.

Like Australia’s gun ban which sees guns less expensive and as readily available as ever-

Oklahoma’s medical program is anyone can get a card.
It is nominally a medical program, it is in reality nothing more than a state registry.

This is an overwhelming landslide for the no show, unaccountable do nothing bureaucracy to stay in place-
despite any adult in the state being able to get a card for a nominal fee.

*Not sure abt OK but the indians in NY state are selling weed. They opened two dozen dispensaries along the border with PA. (and 0% goes to any state)

and yet OK not only has the most casinos per capita of any state but also among the most dispensaries per capita of any state.

There is not much NO going on.

The epidemiological evidence continues to pile up against MJ chronic use.

And, if you didn't want Californians (or Oregonians or Washington Statians) moving to your state, this is an excellent start.

Marijuana is defacto legal in Oklahoma.
This was more a referendum on the absolute ineptitude of the Oklahoma legislature to create an effective bureaucracy to deal with medical Marijuana than it was about recreational Marijuana.
If medical hadn’t been such a disaster, recreational would have passed.

I have two buddies who grow medical marijuana in OK. They were both strongly “NO” to legalization. The taxes would have killed their business. They couldn’t compete against the black market.

Knock me over with a feather!

OKLAHOMA SAYS NO!!!

I love it when I am wrong this way. I set myself up for a most pleasant surprise.

Whooo Hooo! and Whooop! Saints be praised and Thank God!!!

Time to start ripping the medical pot and grower mess to shreds.

As to why the NO vote:

1. Low turnout favors conservatives?
2. There are more pot stores than filling stations
3. If there were as many liquor stores an epidemic of alcoholism would be declared.
4. Outsiders are making a shambles of the security and peace in the state
5. Crime, rising with just medical pot
6. Fed up, Four gang murders up by Kingfisher. Others not ever reported. One on the highway at the corner of one of my pastures. I saw the cops and ambulance. Had to dig to learn what happened. Gang execution, never made the paper or any other records I can find. it isn’t safe to live in our own neighborhoods.
7. Rising property values and taxes, outsiders will pay anything and it has made a shambles of our lives. Money really isn’t everything. Some of us just want to be let the hell alone.
8. Did I mention crime? Add potheads thefts to the meth, fentenyl, crack and all the rest and the police blotter is more than half drug related theft and other crime. I did mention it but it is worth mentioning again.
9. No state that has done legal pot has done well
10. The state did a first class cock up in writing the law. Too lenient, too little regulation, too cheap to enter the market, allows growers to be growers to the world let alone Oklahoma.
11. Water, there isn’t enough for us and pot.
12. The legislature created a mess when they wrote weak, ignorant and incomplete law and the sheeple voted for it not realizing just how bad it was going to get. They both created a monster they are afraid to kill. This kind of monster has gangs, syndicates and asian drug lords, they fight back. The cops are afraid to intervene and the politicians are afraid to write laws to kill the monster they made. Local law enforcement in rural Oklahoma have never had to deal with this sort of thing before and are undermanned and out of their element.

Maybe there are a few other reasons. Can anyone else contribute?

It was to be 15% in Oklahoma. Likely not hardly enough to cover the extra expense in insurance, indigent care etc.

I got at least three people to vote against you with me.

We are fed up with the mess medical pot has caused.

Just the medical pot here leaves a stench along the highway. At least in Adair County it does.

Agreed but medical has been a first-class, nine-line, free-fall, cluster-fluck, disaster.

The legislature here could screw up a two car funeral and couldn’t organize a piss-up in a pub.

The ones that can read what the lobbyists write for them don’t understand it and the citizens that vote, well, draw your own conclusions. Look who they vote for.

Thanks to the dolts that wrote the legislation and the equally oafish sheeple who voted for it Oklahoma has been pot producer to the world.

You’re the reason I voted for this even though I already have what I need and you can’t stop it. It was a landslide deal with it

I’ll drive to a neighboring state if needed and you can’t stop me

Deal with it

Only reason that isn’t true is the medical legislation is so poorly written and under regulated. They can grow the amount the want and taxes will be on what they say they grow.

Others have run against the grain of growers that play a different game than the home boys. At least one said the price of growing was not worth his life.

I didn’t bother to read the legislation and just voted NO. It did not repeal the previous legislation though and it does not change the medical pot licenses. It does claim to prohibit export from Oklahoma but that is what the medical pot law was supposed to do but that ain’t happening. There is no way in hell that the amount of pot produced here is being used here. There are mountains of the crap.

No asian drug syndicate is strong arming their way in here to just sell to Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has become the wild west for pot growing.

Sanity! Oklahoma learned from dumb legalization states like Colorado and Oregon. California. If you want more Democrat voters and lefties, then legalize marijuana.

Even libs complain about the stench of marijuana smoke on many Manhattan streets. Many black youths are stoners, due to their rapper heroes bragging about being stoned all the time. And I mean many more than Snoop Dog.
