At least 35 people have been detained after demonstrators allegedly set fire to the construction site of an Atlanta public safety training facility that anti-police and environment activists dubbed "Cop City." A group of "agitators" left the nearby South River Music Festival around 5:30 p.m. and descended on the construction site of the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center "to conduct a coordinated attack on construction equipment and police officers," the Atlanta Police Department said in a statement.

The whole thing went to the FBI’s “Ignore Dept”, and is now an inert issue.

The group is accused of leaving a nearby music festival Sunday evening and heading to the construction site of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center “to conduct a coordinated attack on construction equipment and police officers.”

Authorities noted how the group changed into black clothing and allegedly threw commercial-grade fireworks, Molotov cocktails, large rocks and bricks at police officers.

“What happened last night was not peaceful protest – it was violence. Plain and simple,” Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr said in a statement Monday. “We will not tolerate this destruction of property, and we will seek to ensure that those who have engaged in this criminal behavior are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Police say at least 35 “agitators” arrested in attack on “Cop City.”

The State charges that have been filed against the ones arrested so far are reasonably serious, so far as I can tell no Federal Charges have been filed.

This case begs for FBI involvement, you have people crossing state and international boundaries to commit violent terrorist acts in a coordinated manner.

I watched the video, obviously someone is providing financing based on how far away people traveled to get there.

The act was coordinated and had a leadership structure, a couple of times you saw people giving orders and directing the rioting. You also had at least two people who weren’t masked taking pictures and filming the event among the rioters, expect to see the videos online to show others what they’ve done.

You also had duffel bags of rocks and fireworks getting passed out indicating a fairly high level of planning.

Considering how the Feds infiltrated the 1/6 protest and groups like the Proud Boys, etc., you would think the FBI had informants inside Antifa and other leftwing groups, evidently these people are the brownshirts of the Democratic party.

I have thought for a long time, mostly because of the lack of law enforcement interest, that Antifa was the Democrat Party Brownshirts. If not exactly Democrats, they are funded by the same sources that fund the Democrats.

You can bet that the charges against most of them will be dropped within a matter of days. The charges against the others will be reduced. Maybe 1 or 2 will actually go to jail for a month or so, the others will be given community service. After all, left-wing terrorism is fine with the Atlanta authorities and AOK with the DoJ/FBI.

I would think that the FBI is sponsoring these groups.

I still can’t find a case of a single rioter-looter-arsonist antifa scumbag punk, in prison, from the Summer of 2020.

Words are fairly cheap these days but I am cautiously optimistic based on both the Chief’s statement and the cops’ swift response. I especially liked his differentiation of “protest” vs. “riot”.

It remains to be seen whether the thugs receive binkies or swift kicks in the rear.

I’ve got a text in to a defense attorney of my acquaintance to see if there’s any easy way to track disposition of some of the cases.
