The gay former mayor of Portland had a 16 year old homeless boy living in his house.
The mayor claimed there was no relationship. Law enforcement took custody of the boy, and the mayor walked away with no charges.
With more than 1400 mayors in the USA, this is probably not statistically significant. Sex abuse of children is rampant in our society. The mayors being caught might be related to the mayors having the delusion that their position of power would protect them, and those who are not in power but are sexually attracted to minors/children may choose to not act out in this way for fear of being caught.
I’d be more worried about those in power who have not been caught but may belong to child-sex rings. There is no way to know how pervasive this is when it is not being exposed. Look at how little is know about Epstein’s clients.
