Simplicity?

It’s not about the simplicity or complexity of manufacturing.

It’s about the high cost of the battery, which is in reality the fuel for the car. Those batteries ain’t cheap and the materials and effort to get the materials, ain’t cheap. And, that ‘fuel’ will last about 8-10 years, which then renders the vehicle expensive to ‘repair’.

The reality is that the battery maintains 70-80% capacity after 10 years.

The non-irony is that the Dims who are trying to push everybody to drive only EV's are the same Dims who limit mining of the minerals needed for the batteries. Even cobalt is in abundance (in Minnesomalia), at least enough for the U.S. needs (especially if EV's are sold only on free market principles and aren't mandated).

Evidently the Dims are trying to make life miserable. It's never about the environment or their stated purpose. It's always about controlling the populace.
