The thing that Trump’s legions here do not grasp is that Trump isn’t really a Republican, and never was.
There was a moment in one of the first debates when he lashed out at Jeb! and attacked the Iraq war disaster - and the hand-picked audience lept to their feet cheering.
That brought to mind “there’s something happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear” - and it’s still not quite clear, except power in the country is laying on the ground waiting for someone to pick it up, and when someone does, it will be a vast, unstoppable coalition of people who hate the Republicans with people who hate the Democrats.
The thing is that ever since Reagan said Libertarians were the heart and soul of the Republican party, the Libertarians have been trying to shut out anything that isn’t libertarian, and Libertarians are pro-open borders and often elevating laissez-faire to a religion without realizing that the Chinese could and have easily subverted such a system to their own purposes.
Republicans otoh, are/were basically pragmatists rather than being navel-gazing idealists. Trump is a pragmatist as are most voters.
You’re constant anti-Trump bull is just that, bull.

Trump, DeSantis, Biden, and everybody else I can think of are too one sided to pick up the power, but I pray every day for someone to emerge. JFK... I don’t know enough about him
to venture a guess. I would have a real hard problem voting Dem at any level.
