Perhaps in older laws prescribing the procedure to legally execute someone by hanging. Regardless, it takes less than a minute to fashion a ‘hangman’s noose’ and unless a workplace has cameras everywhere, someone could put string/twine nooses all over the place.

But what kind of adult would be scared or even mildly disturbed by finding such a thing? The same demographic that imagines it is the source of all knowledge and wisdom can be brought down by the mere sight of a noose or a cotton boll.

I watched the FBI investigate nooses at a customer of mine’s very large plant. They were used to hold buckets up during maintenance work. We all knew it and let them go their way until a Jr employee spilled the beans.
