Amid a storm that has left residents in the mountains trapped for days after 17 feet of snow was dumped there, California Governor Gavin Newsom has left the state without explanation.

The Democrat, considered a potential successor to President Joe Biden by progressives, was reported to be out of California on 'personal travel' Friday, according to Fox News. He is scheduled to return Sunday.

Newsom's press office did not disclose where exactly Newsom had traveled to, only to say that before he left the state, he visited Diablo Canyon, its last nuclear power plant, on Wednesday.

Us Californians find ourselves on the horns of a dilemma.

1. Have him grifting on his job
( bad results)

2. Have a governor not do the job
( bad results )

Only hope we have is every time he gets on a plane it might crash.

Democrats always have lots of personal space / travel / vacation time so they can avoid questions and having to answer for anything.

Critics are roasting Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom for being away on “personal travel” amid the devastating winter storms slamming parts of the state with feet of snow.

It’s unclear where Newsom traveled as his office does not comment on such matters due to what they say are security concerns, however the governor reportedly left California on Wednesday after a visit to the Diablo Canyon power plant in Avila Beach.

“Californians are trapped in their homes without power. More storms are on the way. And Governor Newsom has just left the state for ‘personal travel,’” Rep. Kevin Kiley, R-Calif., said in a Thursday tweet.

In another tweet, Kiley called on Acting Democratic Gov. Eleni Kounalakis “to immediately seek a Major Disaster Declaration from the President,” noting that some Californians affected by the storms had no power and were short on supplies.

“May not have been the best timing for Newsom to go out of state on personal travel,” San Francisco Chronicle columnist Emily Hoeven tweeted Friday, linking to an article about Californians being stranded without food or a way to dig themselves out of the snow.

Snowbound at Donner Pass?

We have to be careful in California making that statement.

One of our DNA gene pools has this simple California question: "Okay, who is lunch today!"

I assume he’s spending quite a bit of time with the “donor community”.

‘They’ said all the snow would be gone, and now the ‘drought’ will be interrupted by the flood. The democRATS will make sure not to save it as it melts.’

Basically, in California, zero fish wraps and left wing fake tv news are stating that our California drought is over.

Cali has a lot of things wrong, but the boys at Caltrans are as good they get when it comes to snow plowing. So when even they can’t keep I80 open at Donner/Truckee, you know it is an epic snowstorm.

We plan to be there in September. Bucket list item I wanted to see were the original tunnels the Cantonese chiseled through the mountains.
