Back in 1988 I had to work near Waynesboro Georgia for a few months. Quiet laid back area with a spread out population and clusters of buildings along the main roads. Just north of the “city” was the first Walmart Superstore I had seen. Anybody and everybody shopped there. Prices were at least half of what I could buy in CT. Fantastic store at that time.

I think my first one was in Lancaster, California, well outside of the influence of Los Angeles. Awesome store...and what impressed my most was that it was a department store that actually sold oil filters, something that I’ve never seen before (although they were, and are, the crappy Fram ones).
