San Francisco was a Republican city the first half of the 20th Century, with many Federal and military assets. All chased away by the liberal Democrats who invaded in the late 1960’s and later. I remember my Dad taking me to the Presidio for supplies. Also on visits to the National Guard Armory in the middle of the city, took up an entire city block, full of military vehicles, and he sometimes brought a Army Jeep home in front of our home. Also visits to Hunters Point Naval Shipyard with much activity on ships. Also to Treasure Island Naval Base, as well as going to his office at Alameda Naval Air Station. All of that disappeared over the last 50 years as Democrats chased out the military. I would welcome a return of military assets to San Francisco.

From orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
