Many of those refugees will never return to Ukraine, for a variety of reasons, but concerns/fears over the little tyrant’s accumulation of power will certainly be one of them. For starters, Zelensky’ security agency has cracked down on religious freedom, he’s has greatly curtailed freedom of the press, and generally allowed massive corruption to flourish. Those kinds of abuses may not be troublesome to you but for many people now living outside of Ukraine in less restrictive countries such conditions back home will surely be a factor in their decisions whether or not to return.

No, he cracked down on the branch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that recognized the Russian former KGB officer, Kiril, as its patriarch, instead of the rest of UOC that recognized the Ukrainian patriarch.

I will, however, give Zelensky his due credit for being one of the best con artists I’ve ever seen. He’s world class.
