“According to a new paper...people who are obese or carry excess weight face a risk of death anywhere from 22 to 91 percent higher than those at a healthy weight.”
I’m not overweight, so I guess I’m not going to die?
22-91 is a pretty big range...in fact...unless you break it down further, it’s absolutely stupid.
Overpopulation is getting so bad that we’ve got experts and geniuses EVERYWHERE! More than you can shake a stick at.
someone tell the SI supermodels.
In my doctors office, the doctors/nurses/practitioners are forbidden from telling patients they should lose weight to solve any medical problems (i.e. high blood pressure); the rarely even weigh patients anymore as part of check-in - they have gone so woke, they don’t want to hurt anybodies feelings - even have new posters hanging in each exam room celebrating that all body types are beautiful.
Doctors just now do the bidding of the drug companies - keep ‘em just sick enough that they need a lifetime of medicine.
The same could be said for being “a black male”.
Now 500 pound obese 50 year old women of color riding on scooters, burning thru Food Stamp benefits on grape soda and packaged pudding cups is a whole nother matter. They kick the bucket from diabetes, kidney failure, leg circulation insufficiency, and heart failure.
. . . or spending time in the company of black males.
Wasn’t there a study showing that elderly folks who were a bit overweight (not obese) were generally healthier and better able to recover from illness and injury? And another found that elderly folks with low cholesterol were less able to recover and experienced higher rates of cognitive decline. (Cholesterol is not the bogeyman it’s been made out to be.)
I knew a maintenance guy who worked at an old folks home. He told me horror stories about the bariatrics wing’s often clogged sewer pipes. The stuff of nightmares. I guess there are a lot of old folks in the land whale class, at least in the last few decades.
We live in some dystopian sci-fi story from the 30s where the poorest are the most likely to be obese and the affluent are the most likely to be fit and thin.
Freegards
Stories ‘explaining’ early death are much more frequent now, partly because the MSM is trying to rationalize all the “died suddenly” deaths.
That is why the elites are pushing the “fat is beautiful” stuff—they know fat people die younger—great way to help depopulate the planet.
It’s a matter of accrual of circulatory problems....in the heart first...then in the periphery...
I have seen heart transplant patients go from shriveled, cachectic, hollow eyed, bedridden cases to robust , healthy skinned, strong, smiling post successful heart transplant specimens. It’s traumatic....i.e...they take your bad heart out....so you are basically dead if the new one sewn in doesn’t work....but the successful results are astounding....best to avoid this scenario by staying as slim as is healthy...and moderate exercise....
That's an excellent point. People need to realize that the government AND medical community at large are not looking out for their best interests.
People need to be their own self-advocates and take charge of their own health.
People who accept their obesity are either shortening their lives or reducing the quality of it. There is nothing beautiful about it.
My rule is I never trust anyone who wants to “save the planet” because at the end of the day that means they want me dead—as soon as possible.
There, fixed it.
I doubt the type of food has much to do with it, unless the type of food contributes to the amount of calories consumed.
Even people on mostly rice diets can become obese.
I have seen some people on KETO diets, eating lots of meat and fat, who are very fit, even skinny.
of course testosterone is low, nearly all the girls are giant cows. Who wants to hit that
You need to find a new doctor.
