"From what I’ve seen, most Jews are progressives first and Jews second." This I never understood.

According to Pew research regarding U.S. Jewish political affiliation: "68% of Jews by religion and 77% of Jews of no religion identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party; 26% of U.S. Jews overall identify with the Republican Party."

U.S. Jews, both religious and non-religious - are predominately liberal/progressives.

It should be noted that use of the term "religious" does not mean Orthodox; only that a person adheres to some form of Judaism. The same Pew research tells us that - "57% of Orthodox Jews describe themselves as Republicans or say they lean toward the Republican Party, while 36% are Democrats or lean Democratic."

A fine catch, in terms of text.

Might I repeat this verbal oddity?

"...Jews of no religion" are rather like the white gals who have been pretending to be POC in organizations, and other similar pretenses.

"Regulator" posted his comment about so many members of the current administration, and I would wager that were one to look more closely the phrase "Jews of no religion" would be apt.

Attendance for Torah readings and study and actual charitable works mark the Orthodox far more than the "liberal" and it is very likely that a Blinken and a Wolensky, as examples, rarely set foot in a synagogue unless to politick, fund raise for politics, or other such PR event.

The same may be observed for the "public" Christians, such as Madame Clinton who, when campaigning, carried around a Bible as prop for the campaign. Think she has confronted Romans 1? Or her coterie's penchant for things we might find abhorrent?

For a Jewish perspective I would seek an Orthodox rabbi, while for a Christian, I would seek the likes of Fulton Sheen. The popular "religious" being held up to us in the media are quite like that phrase, "of no religion."

Even that Pew can form such a word phrase shows how disjointed and nonsensical so much of modern "authority" has become. "...of no religion" is become the new and very intolerant religion of this time. As ever before, we are told to bow before it. Daniel, among many upstanding examples, offers a fine exemplary response.

Best wishes.
