House Majority Leader Steve Scalise called Democrats “disgraceful” Tuesday for skipping a series of hearings on the ongoing border crisis before warning that fentanyl overdoses are killing 300 Americans per day.
“As we all know, there is a crisis at our southern border. While the vice president, who was supposed to be the czar of the border, will not go down to the border, we’ve gone down multiple times,” Scalise (R-La.) told reporters.
“In just these last two weeks, we had a number of committees holding hearings at the border,” he went on. “Not only did they talk about the crisis at the border … the Energy and Commerce Committee had a hearing specifically on the fentanyl crisis.

They’re still UNABLE to CALL THEM OUT for what they are - which are people who WANT the country overrun with Illegals and Drugs.
Again, as long as we don’t call out their motivations, THEY WIN. And yet we know that the Republicans are quite capable of stepping up their game - after all, they do it to Trump and Putin non-stop. But they simply WILL NOT do it to the Democrats, their ‘friends across the aisle’.

Fentanyl doesn’t kill people in democrat districts else they’d be asking where it comes from and what they’re doing to stop it. They continue to reelect them so this must be true.
When he calls republicans disgraceful too, then we’re getting somewhere.
Everyone goes nuts when a plane goes down and 250 people die. Yet, we allow the equivalent of one planeload of Americans to die every day because of fentanyl.
Let”a take 9/11. 3,000 died. That’s the equivalent of 10 days of femtenal poisoning.
If the dopey Republicans should point this out on the House and Senate floors , and look to responses from Chuckie, Nadler. Schiff, Nancy, and the rest of those barbarians.

I’ve been waiting many DECADES to see the Republicans learn to fight like Democrats. Does Steve have any plans to NOT ‘pull his punches’.

well, we probably all agree on most things...they just aren’t the things we end up talking about with each other.
Fentanyl is doing a creditable job of weeding lawbreaking undesirables from the gene pool. Using recreational drugs is a CHOICE; bad choices have consequences.
