There was a book that was adapted as documentary aired on PBS entitled “Chicago: The City of the Century.”
What was omitted from the program was that Chicago used to have a substantial Republican political class that teamed with architects and city planners such as Daniel Burnham to build a model city that once enjoyed a world wide reputation.
Ninety-two years of Democratic misrule have damaged the city greatly. It may be too late to salvage anything. The last four years have been horrific. Lightfoot was the absolute worst. A complete incompetent and a racist.

The skyline is beautiful—many amazing buildings.
It is when your feet touch the ground that things start to get ugly.
Architects think they can change the world for the better. Chicago proves once and for all that no city can be better than the people who live in it.
