A train car carrying roughly 30,000 gallons of propane was among six that derailed in Florida Tuesday in a scene first responders compared to a “minefield.”
The six train cars fell off the tracks as a Seminole Gulf Railway train rode through Sarasota County, News Channel 8 WFLA reported.
SNIP
“It looks like a minefield, honestly,” Southern Manatee Fire Rescue Chief Robert Bounds told the local NBC affiliate station. “The cars are on their side. [The train] was in motion when it happened, so it wasn’t just a tip-over, they really dug in and the tracks are pulled up and torn up.”

She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie, propane.....
I use those 20 lb tanks for grilling purposes.
A 20 lb propane tank holds about 4 gallons of propane.
30,000 gallons/4=7,500 tanks of propane for my grill.
> The railroads might start refusing to haul hazardous cargo. That would devastate our domestic chemical industry. <
Either that or the railroads will demand sky-high premiums to transport the material. That too would devastate our domestic chemical industry.
But why should the Biden administration care? Their main focus is on using the correct transgender pronouns, and also on sending money to Ukraine. Practical stuff is so far down on the list that it doesn’t even matter.
Place will be cold(minus 40F) and extremely flammable but not toxic. No open fires please. Buttgeek can redeem himself by visiting wearing hardhat.
Burn it for safety.
They could be careful and just burn all of Florida
Where’s Gomer’s surprise gif?
I live by some tracks - several of the trains each day have wheels so out of round the ground shakes - can’t be good for track integrity...they aren’t doing proper maintenance.
Deliberate sabotage by those who want to destroy this country.
Biden offered Mayor Pete the “Trans” job, and it sounded right up his alley....something he could really sink himself into.
1,000+ derailments every year ! it’s no wonder with the state of railroad tracks. You must see this if you haven’t already:
What the hell is happening with Transportation Secs past and present, and with rail lines management ?
With that much you can keep your grill burning hot 24/7 and never have to wait for your grill to preheat before slapping the steaks on the grate.
Whack for the daddy-o
Whack for the daddy-o
There’s propane in the car
Deep State Jones better watch your speed....
I am wondering who is making money on all these “accidents” (other than The Big Guy’s 10% of the under-the table reward for the eco-terrorists). Could it be the railroads getting their old equipment replaced by insurance, followed by increased shipping rates?
Oops...Seminole Gulf needs to check their rails...So does the Housatonic Railroad. Class 3 railroads need to repair their tracks...
