Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida will make his debut appearances in three early presidential primary states in the next several weeks, according to two people briefed on his plans, selling his performance in his own state as he lays the groundwork for an expected presidential campaign.
Mr. DeSantis is tentatively expected to appear in Iowa during the first half of March, making stops in Davenport and Des Moines, according to the people briefed on his schedule who requested anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the plans publicly. Shortly after, he is expected to appear in Nevada, an early primary state, followed a few weeks later by an expected trip to Manchester, New Hampshire.

Another glowing report from the NY Times and Maggot Haberman.
I believe that Florida needs DeSantis to finish his term.
"Ron is NOT RUNNING!!!" - Meatball DeSanctus Dude
Just heard Desantis on Clay and Buck. He is surely running. Will make an announcement in about 3 months.
About this time next year, Trump will be a memory.
No question he has laid the groundwork to run with Ryan and Piglet Rove.
If he is crushed by Trump, it is likely over for him.
Florida doesn’t allow voter frawwd. Unbelievable to me that he thinks he has a chance.
As the war in Ukraine spirals out of control and the world lurches closer to world war, expect to see Trump’s numbers climb.
Whatever God allows will Happen! But, the truth be told, DeSantis wouldn’t make a pimple on Trump’s arse!
Picture a “Brood of Vipers!” And, there you have it!
In the ‘what have you done for me lately’ category, DeSantis has an impressive record in FL the past 4 years. Trump’s main accomplishment has been throwing hissy fits and inventing sarcastic names for DeSantis, while ignoring Dems who are destroying the country.
Well, this is nauseating.
Are there any actual conservatives in that picture?
Is he going to address the part of the Florida record that he just got re-elected Governor for a 4 year term and is now going to walk away from that commitment 2 months after he was sworn in?
Agreed.
Yep, if he wanted to run for President don't get elected and then days later drop your commitment to the voters.
True. And meanwhile, the legislature might alter the election law to allow DeSantis to keep his current job while running for Prez.
