President Joe Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that U.S. officials have not seen China “take the step of providing weapons to Russia” to aid their efforts in the war in Ukraine.
Partial transcript as follows:
RADDATZ: The administration has also warned China not to offer lethal military assistance to Russia. What can you share about what China could do?
SULLIVAN: Well, all I can say is what you’ve heard from the secretary of state, you’ve heard from other officials in the administration, and you just heard from President Biden, which is, we have, at this point, not seen them take the step of providing weapons to Russia for purposes of the war in Ukraine. We are watching closely. We know they haven’t taken it off the table. And we are sending a clear message, as are our European allies, that this would be a real mistake because those weapons would be used to bombard cities and kill civilians, and China should want no part of that.

China’s recent pronouncements, mostly ignored by the MSM, indicate they are actively siding with Russia against the USA
Deep state drones like Sullivan fear China a lot more than they do Russia
I am currently reading a three book history of WWII in the Pacific. It is clear that the only reason the US was able to successfully fight Japan and Germany simultaneously to victory was the fact we had the greatest industrial infrastructure on the planet and it was protected from assault by our enemies by two oceans.
China now has the best manufacturing and integrated supply chains on the planet by far. In addition what manufacturing we have left, and military supplies stockpiled in the US are vulnerable to missile and bomber attack by our potential adversaries. The big question our military leaders and politicians should be evaluating is how the US will supply naval forces around the world and land forces in Europe if we have no access to offshore manufacturing? There are frequent news reports now the Ukraine war has drained our domestic stockpiles and it will take years to replace them.
China today has the capability to take out our carriers in the pacific with non-nuclear weapons. Once the carriers are gone importing goods from Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, and Indian factories will be extremely risky if not impossible given the vulnerability of shipping to Chinese submarines and hypersonic missiles. Soviet subs may have the capability to take out the Atlantic carriers as well conventionally.
Offshoring much of our domestic manufacturing to China and other nations dramatically increased the vulnerability of the US defense capability. It was a self inflicted wound by our multinational corporations, diplomates in the State Department, and the majority of politicians in both political parties. The price of gutting US manufacturing may be our nation effectively cannot fight a large scale conventional war against a China/Russian/Iran alliance because we cannot resupply troops and naval ships from the homeland. Does this put the US in a situation where it will have no option other than a nuclear first strike?
Russia does not need weapons. Its plants are operating 24/7. It needs tankers to get gas/oil into markets, to avoid the sanctions. I expect China to help fill that need at a discount. India wins as well.
We should provide nukes to Tiawan.
You might want to double check that. You ‘ll find that both sides have attacked civilian infrastructure and resdiential areas.
