O'Neill, however, pushed back on the generals' confidence and their plan for achieving victory. "Generals never seem to have an answer [to] what is winning,"..."But just like anything from war to the vaccine, there's no money in the cure..."So why is this money that we're sending to Ukraine going where we want it?...We're giving the best tanks in the world to people that can defend with them, but then they can also go to the Red Square like they're saying,"...It's a self-licking ice cream corner,..."There's no game plan. There's no preparation."

Now older comments are showing. Strange. But didn’t see any prediction that Russia will conquer Ukraine. Only a pro-Russian bias in other ways.
Anyway, we’ll see how the war goes. So far, the Russian government has lost at public affairs for the long run along its pariah allies. Our U.S. and allies are building up as a result. Even the majority of Democrats are now in favor of increased defense funding. ;)
On warfare in Ukraine, the Russian government and army have done very poorly so far. If they pull off a win in Ukraine, they will have made a far more serious mistake to do so.
Nuclear war will be far more likely in the near future, if Russia is not routed out of Ukraine—all of it.
Salvivida’s predictions are about like the rest, just opinions based on bad sources and bad analysis.
9/26/22=”When winter hits, Europe will be in no condition to do anything about it because their countries will be starving and freezing to death. Not that they would anyway.”
12/29/22=”Russia has already won; they hold all the cards. Ukraine will be closed out by the final frost.”
This one is confusing.
9/13/22=”There is an intel staff that did a heck of a job going through the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (IPB) process.
That is what won it. The really cool part of it is: now the Ukrainians know the process by practical application. They are going to beat the Russians like a rented mule now.”
9/30/22=” All he has to do is wait out the winter until the US Congress is seated, with his newly-minted army of 300K.
And he wins the whole enchilada with 4 new provinces added to the federation, and a US Congress that isn’t going to approve another dime for Ukraine. Then add to that the impeachment of Chairman Xiden.
All he has to do is wait out the winter while Europe freezes.”
8/13/22=”5. A couple of Supreme Court Justices are going to be removed from the bench. By whatever means. Soon.”
Re #3, winning is when Russia pulls out of all Ukraine, including Crimea. Like Vietnam, they only stopped fighting when the won all the territory.
Never claimed to have had a crystal ball, and the Russian national strategy pivoted off of the referendum. That changed the mission and resolve.
But I’m ecstatic you think of me in such regard to go back and look through my history. I should watch my grammar more.
Great to be in America. Choices.
Don’;t like my posts? Fucking don’t read them, right?
You do seem to puff yourself up quite a lot while saying the same old internet stuff the other Russia backers post.
No, not according to Biden, Yellen, Blinken, Nuland, Sunak, etc. Winning has unabashedly been defined as when “Putin is defeated”, “the Russian Army has been destroyed” and “regime change in Moscow has been accomplished”. In other words, winning to the globalist in DC and their hinterland stooges is having more survivors than the Ruskies after the corrupt DC warmongers finish their WWIII.
How do I puff myself up exactly? I use techniques that were taught to me, and I have taught others. I didn’t “invent” them. I apologize if my career choice offended you or anyone else.
As I said before, I’m not a Russia backer. I could give a flip about Russia. Russia doesn’t pay my bills. As my name would suggest, I’m a much better Latin America analyst— not even close. But I dabble everywhere.
Old internet stuff? Where do you think the data is at in order to respond to it? I have an active duty intelligence officer in my church, and two other specialists. We talk shop. We challenge each other. It’s what we do.
Now, to make this a positive exchange (a fvking rarity here on FR) I’ll leave you with this bit:
How to learn to think like an intel weenie: https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/so-you-want-to-be-intel/
Do that and I’ll give you another fundamental assignment. Or not.
Cheers.
As I said, you do puff yourself up a lot, your opinions are not something people should pay much attention to though.
Fair enough.
Now ansel12, you know that we were trained wrong. We were too high speed, complicated and lacking in Prussian psychological and political training. We should have been trained to move like intel warriors. That way, we’d have been capable of moving like pond water at a desk and meat grinding the enemy with our Buttigeig’s. If that failed, we could have always been buddy ruckers and lit up our recruits to do the commie human wave thing. The enemy would run like schnell from our psychological-emotional meanness and pride. ;D
My LRRP/LRS unit was permanently attached to a Battalion field intelligence unit, so we worked as a team, but we weren’t terribly impressed with them or their officers.
Whatever that meant; at least you got it off your chest.
Recon. Hooah! I was only in an engr (cbt) unit in the Guard and never mobilized, but we did get the superior unit award (RA evaluators watching us). Did more infantry drills than our usual stuff.
