It’s exactly the same. Before WWII everybody knew Japan was weak and the US Navy would roll over them easily. They were blind in coke bottle glasses, their planes and ships were crap.

In addition, the Japanese had conscripted Taiwanese Takasago, who were known for their night vision, and filled them up with carotene. They were the Japanese night lookouts.
And people like you back then were pushing the bucktooth, blind Jap with crappy equipment. Your thinking about the Chinese navy is very deadly to believe too much.
Go ahead, hope it’s true, but it isn’t likely. At this moment a Chinese rover is crawling around the Moon in it’s 5th year, and their lander sent back information from the dark side of the moon. Most of the computers and phones you use are made there.
