NYT Finally Admits "The International Community" Does Not Stand With US (War Vampires) On Ukraine
Twitter ^ | 2/23/2023 | Glenn Greenwald

Posted on 02/23/2023 8:28:37 PM PST by frithguild

From the start of the war in Ukraine, the US media continuously claimed "the international community" is united behind the US (that phrase always means: W. Europe and whatever countries happen to side with the US).

Today, the NYT recognizes the truth:https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/02/23/world/russia-ukraine-geopolitics.html

A couple of key paragraphs from the NYT story that deflates and debunks the inspiring and from-the-start obviously false fairy tale that "the international community" was united with the US in support of Ukraine: ***

The WashPost has a very similar concession this morning. While all the usual DC militarism advocates -- people like @BillKristol, @DavidFrum and @Mattduss -- pen homages to the diplomatic genius of Biden, the headline of the Post article tells a far different story: ***

A staple of left-wing foreign policy is the valorization of the "Global South" (for good reason: I share the view that they matter more than is recognized).

Yet as both papers say, the "Global South" rejects support for the US view of Ukraine, yet the US left ignores this.

A major reason the US liberal-left in DC is *unanimous* in support of Biden's war policies -- even as the left all over the world is divided to hostile -- is lingering anger toward Russia because of the view they helped defeat Hillary. It's utter madness but it's how they think.

Let's not forget that Hillary's argument succeeded in a 2014 coup engineered by the War Vampires in the US State Dept/CIA against the democratically elected Ukraine government. Here is the transcript Victoria Nuland's engineering work.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26079957.amp

The Galicians/Volhynians/Bucovinians the benefitted from this engineering to a person will all say that the coup was justified because Russia meddled.

The Neocons have managed to get the leaders of about 15% of the world’s population to impose sanctions on Russia (the US, Europe, and a few others). The OTHER 85% of the world gave us the finger and continues to do business as usual with Russia, thereby DESTROYING the Neocon plan to starve the Russian people into overthrowing their government. The Neocon plan to topple the Russian government has FAILED, and I, for one, am glad to see the Neocons finally get spanked.

Here’s another candidate that doesn’t past the natural born citizen test. While born in Ohio, his parents are immigrants. Obviously, it doesn’t matter to him, or he just doesn’t know. Both disqualify him in my eyes. It does make a difference when your family has fought, bleed and occasionally died for our freedom. That takes generations.

The Neocons have not been spanked at all yet. What they need is to be treated as as War Vampires that they are - they feed off blood lust. They have demanded the most preventable war in the history of wars. They have it and are engourged by it.

Very true, by my estimate the blood lust of the Neocons have cost roughly 1 Million lives (with half of that in Syria alone).

GHWB, POTUS 41, did better in 1990-1991 in securing international support for dislodging Iraq’s Saddam Hussain from Kuwait.

Not for nothing.

I shouldn’t drink and post 😂. My daughter came over and practiced her mixology skills. I discovered a new drink, to me at least, a French Connection. It went perfectly before, during and after supper.

But the other side of the coin is that the Neocons have managed to get the leaders of about 80% of the world’s GDP to impose or at least go along with sanctions on Russia...

(EU and USA alone are ~73%.)

Inning 2 is half over at most.

Check those Russian gov’t revenues for Jan. 2023. ;-)

I have a question for my own education and I am asking you and I think I will get a straight answer

I have not strong opinions on the Ukraine Russian conflict although it appears around here there are two pretty passionate sides but there isn’t a lot of why behind the support of one or the other side.

Can you briefly explain the what the theory is behind support of either Ukraine or Russia? I might be simple on this but it appears to me the Ukraine defense is rooted in opposition to Russian expansion in all things. It seems defending the Russian side is more directed at we simply should. It interfere as it is. Not our problem nor business.

What am I missing?

“EU and USA alone are ~73% of world GNP.”

Considering that China’s manufacturing is now nearly equal to the US and EU COMBINED, I’d say we missed the big prize. As to GNP, never forget that the US has more lawyers than the rest of the world combined, and those lawyers contribute to our GNP.

“How come Putin and his supporters aren’t neocons?”

Because they don’t spend every minute, of every day, trying to figure out how to weaken and dismember Russia, even if it means WW3, as far as I know.

Thank you for asking such a vital question amidst this disgusting, childish bickering. I can’t stay and help you right now, but I’ll check back tomorrow and if you haven’t gotten a good answer, I will provide one.

How come Putin and his supporters aren’t neocons?

Because a Neocon is someone who wants America to intervene in a foreign dispute.

Putin's "supporters" merely want America to stay out of it.
