Great! Now everybody in the world’s gonna know that a U2 can fly higher than 60K feet.
its been common knowledge for decades
I sense a missing sarcasm tag.
Hello, hello (hola)
I’m at a place called Vertigo (¿dónde está?)
It’s everything I wish I didn’t know
Except you give me something
I can feel, feel
I’ve lost all self-control
Been living like a mole
Now going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high, elevation
In the howling wind comes a stinging rain
See it driving nails
Into the souls on the tree of pain
From the firefly, a red orange glow
See the face of fear
Running scared in the valley below
I think they had to drop down to that level.
The Air Force and Lockheed have long admitted that the U-2 operates normally at 70,000 feet. No-one seems willing to say whether it has gone higher, but since unpowered sailplanes have topped 80,000, it would seem likely that the U-2 can, too.
Garrfy Powers in a U2 was shot down at 70,000ft during the Cold War in the mid 50's
See the Amazon Prime film about it all
Bridge of Spies (Plus Bonus Features)
In a dramatic thriller inspired by true events, Tom Hanks stars as James Donovan, a Brooklyn lawyer thrust into the center of the cold war.
