I just had minor outpatient surgery Tuesday to remove some lumps of tissue from my neck and sides, docs though were lipomas, and not cancer, but one he said looked odd. Will be tested for cancer. VA paid for.................

I hope they aren't cancerous and will add you to my nightly prayers. We haven't been using the VA for anything although we are awaiting a determination for disability. We've been told to expect a denial and then we'll have to take the next steps. We also haven't signed with any attorney for PACT litigation despite being bombarded with emails. One of his cancers wasn't presumptive (curious because some cases have been accepted and some not) but one is. We've been blessed with an oncologist who has been fighting right along side us. The VA sure takes its time during the determination process but demands anything they ask for be provided within 30 days or face an automatic denial. Sigh.

Even if you get into the ‘system’ it takes forever to get anything approved.

The appointments I had were originally submitted in September for approval to Biloxi, MS, the regional VA HQ...............

Well, he doesn't want VA healthcare. By the grace of God we're able to do everything outside that system and he's still running our business for the time being. We're currently waiting on his determination letter after sending thousands of pages of medical records and being informed the whole package has been sent to a doctor in Utah for “an outside determination as to the viability of his claim”.
