Don’t you think Ukraine has other, more critical things to worry about? There are about 1500 Russian troops with very light armor and few(if any aircraft) in Transnitria.

Ukraine needs to escalate the war. Attacking Transnistria, engaging a response from Russia, pulling in Moldova and raising tension levels among NATO will work nicely towards that end.

Pure wishcasting since it's a stupid strategy and Ukraine's generals have proven that they are NOT stupid.

Zelenskiy said last year his country had uncovered a Russian intelligence plan “for the destruction of Moldova”......this is not new. Then they send in people to rile the public.....we can name this tune in one note.

So this is definatly a Western move to increase the war.

It’s funny…I used that exact argument with my wife when she questioned why Russia would stir stuff up there. Russians are acting like middle school girls with all of their drama and outrage. No one is impressed.

And Moldova is just that much closer to NATO. Russia WANTs NATO cruise missiles flying so they can use the “nuclear” card to sue for peace.
