A law firm is suing Steve Bannon, former U.S. President Donald Trump's onetime top strategist, for more than $480,000 in fees for its legal work on high-profile cases.
Law firm Davidoff Hutcher & Citron said in a lawsuit filed Friday in New York state court that Bannon has failed to fully pay for work it performed for him from November 2020 until November 2022. Bannon has been regularly represented by the firm's partner Robert Costello.
Reuters could not immediately confirm whether Costello is still representing Bannon. Bannon and Costello did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The Davidoff firm represented Bannon after he was subpoenaed by the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, siege on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters, and in his criminal contempt trial after he defied the subpoena.
A Washington, D.C., jury convicted Bannon in June and a federal judge sentenced him to four months in prison. Bannon's sentence has been delayed as he appeals his conviction.
The law firm also represented Bannon as he faced scrutiny from then-Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance over his role in a scheme allegedly deceiving donors to an effort to construct Trump's planned wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Bannon was indicted in September on New York state charges stemming from that plot and has pleaded not guilty.

He’s only out for himself. Cares nothing about the people even though he has hoodwinked a few into believing his act.

You shouldn’t buy anything from Bannon. He’s a swindler.
How do you know this if he was doing this anonymously?
I don’t see this as anything other than a personal type attack that is meant because someone wants Bannon to shut up. Bannon hasn’t been a Trump aid for years, yet it is inserted here as though it is important.
Not my problem about who owes who what. Not interested.
There can be legitimate grounds tor a client to dispute a lawyer’s bills. No idea what the situation is here but I would not jump to any conclusions just on the basis of a lawsuit having been filed. Anybody can allege practically anything, so allegations are just that.
No one is boosting Trump more than Bannon.
Bannon is MEGA, a fighter.

If he trashed him he is certainly making up for it every day with his show and guests. 4 hours a day preaching pro Trump, sometimes more.

His show is the only one that Trump has never gone on. I try to watch his show, but turn it off with the cold opens.
I think criminal trials should happen in the afternoon so one can hire a lawyer in the morning and the lawyer can have a few hours to prepare.
In such a system, a lawyer might work for eight hours and the lawyer’s fee would be affordable to most middle class people.
Of course this story is true. It’s such an easy thing to verify. I guess you’re one of the people who have been tricked by his grift. Sad to see.

Bannon did not pay his own lawyers for years. His partners were convicted of embezzling money to build a fake wall. Bannon would have been as well except he got Trump to pardon him.
This is basic stuff that is 100% true and easily verifiable.
