Tesco is the latest supermarket to introduce limits on sales of certain fruit and vegetables due to shortages of fresh produce.
It follows similar moves by Aldi, Asda and Morrisons, with other supermarkets also said to be facing problems after extreme weather hit harvests abroad.
Tesco is putting limits of three per customer on sales of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers...

Trying to cover for the food shortages that have already begun?
Let me guess. The War for the Big Guy’s 10% is affecing food supplies.
“Tesco and Aldi limit sales of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers”
As someone else here noted this week: Why don’t they simply RAISE THEIR PRICES?
Then I responded that pricing responses to supply and demand only happen in Capitalist countries, like Russia, and to some extent, China.
In the end, it won’t matter, they’ll just start a cottage industry of ‘line sitters’, much as we had during the gas lines of the 1970s. In other words, no matter how much the UK tries to hide from capitalism, the RICH will get what they want, and there ain’t jack they can do about it.
The Liberal World Order will bring the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
First up: Satan’s anti-messiah
Next: War
Famine and disease with the next two
The onslaught of famine begins. Its all that is lacking to complete the “Trials and Tribulations”.
Gee, Joe and Jill won’t be able to have their cucumber tomato and pepper salad tonigh ... Bwhahahahahahahhahahahah
Work up the parks and yards and plant them like they did during WW2!
GD lazy SOBs!
Aldi is limiting sales because Mexicans come in and buy Aldi’s entire stock to sell at a markup in their own stores.
Recently at both Aldi and Walmart I have seen small businesses buy in bulk at these retail stores as if they were wholesale. They take it back to their quiki mart and double the price.... and people pay it.
Why the inflation?
~Jan 2021 Biden took many measures to stop fossil fuel production.
~Jan 2021 Biden’s American Rescue mis-nomer announced trillions of new dollars in the economy with no increase in GDP or Productivity from those trillions.
~Jan 2021-present Biden has almost double the paperwork and cost of regulations compared to Obama. Trump actually reduced regulations which was a major factor is the economic success (aka Productivity) of the Trump1 era.
~The above gave a green light to Putin to invade Ukraine, the bread-basket of that hemisphere. Make no mistake, when fossil fuel was cheap and the US could supply Western Europe with fossil fuel Putin could not finance his war and did not attack Ukraine during the Trump years for that reason. Make no mistake. Putin is evil. But he is not stupid.
Want to rank them in order?
Prices are raised.
I believe it’s deliberate.
Yeah, isn’t it great that we spilled the blood and treasure of over 1 million Americans to create a socialist utopia in Europe?
In the UK? Hard to find Mexicans there. Think Eastern European and Pakistani types.
Socialists are so dumb. If they just raised the price of the tomatoes, then more people would be incentivized to grow tomatoes for sale. Imagine the numbers of farmers that would start growing tomatoes at 5 dollars a tomato, for example.
Don't forget Trump's $2.3 TRILLION dollar CARES Act that started the inflation ball rolling....
I’m in Florida and I’m looking forward to eating my tomatoes.
One is now red. A few more days and it will be in my belly.
My pepper plants are growing well now and I noticed a flower on one.
I just buy cucumbers as there is no freshness or taste reason for me to grow them.
“Prices are raised.”
You tell them, Moses!
After Trump’s $2.3 Trillion CARES Act, he signed a $900 million stimulus in 2020.
Therefore, Trump pumped over $3 trillion into the economy before the election, setting up the inflation we still suffer with today.
Make no mistake, Biden made matters worse. But if we are to be HONEST, then Trump bears a good deal of blame.
