Thanks again.
It’s a cold one this year. I’m in socal, but I remember 76 in the East Bay.
Snow.
It melted pretty quick but was fun.
Most of the area all the way from the Canadian border to the Mexican will be involved in a series of storms over the next 2 weeks. Here, 400 miles north of LA, at the base of the Sierra, the next few days will be pretty modest, with maybe an inch of rain in the valley and 12-20 inches of snow up in the mountains. Friday and Saturday a stationary low pressure system off Southern California is forecast to push wave after wave of precipitation on shore. I read conflicting reports that this is the first blizzard warning ever for the mountains that circle LA; another report said the fist since 1995. I believe the latter. Significant snow in those mountains is far from unheard of, and I’d be surprised if this was actually the first blizzard warning ever. Arizona and New Mexico will feel it, too, through it’s been storming there already
Well ole reliable Al
Just started hailing real hard here.
Only 57 on the ground.
Very windy and strong hail.
The dopers will be out with straws truing to snort the stuff.
But the snow does briefly cover up the human poop mess on the sidewalks until people step in it.
.
Well there is that
I have lived in Sacramento, Chino, and Oceanside for the last 35 years Since Christmas 2022 this is the coldest weather I have experienced. Waiting for Gore Bull warming,.
