In the video, Buttigieg skirts a series of questions from a reporter while walking on the street, referring to his comments to the media earlier in the day and noting that he was "taking some personal time" when approached.
At the end of the clip, the Biden administration chief asks to take a picture of the reporter, Jennie Taer, of the Daily Caller. "I guess he didn't like that [I was asking him about the derailment] so he took a pic[ture] of me," she wrote. "I'm just doing my job, sir."

McKinsey was probably a better fit. It always seems like he is focused on creating a progressive organization (or city), and that he is above tending to his constituents basic needs.

You are correct. Sadly, this man only knows how to use the identity he has chosen as some cheep self advertisement. He has , even for a politician, a shruken and dead sense of duty and responsibility as witnessed by his behavior in the East Liverpool business.
I truly don’t care what he does in the privacy of his own home. But the guy is useless in this job.
I am highly confident he was given the gig because he was gay so they could “show off” their gay guy and how open minded they are, and perhaps because of his connections to McKinsey. But the other side of that coin is quite condescending. He was hired for no other reason. He was mayor of a city that only had a tiny stretch of a federal highway running through his city. He knows nothing about the federal transportation system. He was hired just for the optics of having a gay man in the cabinet and they brag about it constantly, even though he is totally unqualified for the job and it shows.
