The desperate visit by Joe Biden to Kiev was not to celebrate success. Ukraine is losing and losing badly and is seeing tens of thousands of its young and old men die in the terrible fight. Most rational people of the world are absolutely sick and tired of this war and want no more of it.
The leaders of the West are completely ignoring the anger of their own people who are thoroughly against encouraging more fighting.
This is NOT “a fight for democracy.” Ukraine is not a democracy. It is a dictatorship in which dissent has been outlawed. Priests have been arrested for being Russian Orthodox and had their churches attacked. Thousands of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine have been killed by artillery shelling by the Ukrainian army since 2014. Their “crime” was to declare autonomy from the murderers in Kiev.
Those ethnic Russians in the Donbas have not been “invaded.” They have been liberated from the mass murders committed against them by the barbarians led from Kiev.
This is a NATO issue. NATO countries are just down the street. The US is 7,000 miles away.
