Attorney General Raul Torrez wants to create a new civil rights division in our state. The division would demand entities to protect the next generation of New Mexicans from all backgrounds.
"We're going to be keenly focused on those institutions that impact children and children's rights. I think everyone is frustrated by how these systems seem incapable of the kind of reform," said Torrez.

"I think there's a long history of inequality. It's a fantastic idea to have a civil rights office that's going to be responsible for holding systems accountable," said McGill.
Dr. Harold Bailey from the Albuquerque NAACP says the same.
"We have to have a deterrent, so people think about what they're going to do before they do it," said Dr. Bailey.
That deterrent wouldn't just be in financial settlements.

“Civil rights” are government created rights, not natural rights, and are NOT guaranteed by the Constitution.
Do these idiots realize we have so many laws that protect citizens in this country from most everything from injury to unlawful firing to sexual harassment to the color of their skin? Do we really need more? Really?
It will never be enough for the race hustlers, unfortunately.
Are they going to close the State’s southern border?
I presume this is actually an equity division. Equity means equal rights, not equality. I read Biden Regime is demanding cities develop equity housing. Low cost housing in every suburb, although I’m betting not in extremely rich suburbs, or in an unpleasant spot in rich suburbs. Yes, I’m sure rich Santa Feans are demanding equity housing there.
Equity actually means “that which he deserves” - it has nothing to do with equality or equal rights
It's all about extorting $$$ from white suckers. They don't care about other blacks, otherwise they'd be up in arms about the high crime rate against blacks .... by other blacks. Hypocrites.
