The left-wing Labor and the center-left Yesh Atid parties are mulling mass resignations from the Knesset to protest passage of the government’s judicial reform plan, and in the hopes of disrupting the completion of the legislative process.
Rumors circulated Monday evening, following the Knesset vote backing two key measures of the judicial reform plan, that the Yesh Atid party is currently considering terminating its own representation in the Knesset via a mass resignation.
MK Elazar Stern (Yesh Atid) confirmed that the party is indeed weighing such an option.
Speaking with Galei Tzahal Tuesday morning, Stern said Yesh Atid is considering a push for a coordinated mass resignation of all lawmakers from the Opposition.

Will they also hold their breath until they turn blue?
Sounds like a win win
I’d love it if the Democrats did that, here.
In the last election, the voters spoke and elected MKs who then formed a coalition that is conservative. This means there was a democratic process that was followed.
If that is so, why are a hundred thousand protesting Netanyahu's policy implementation? All I'm hearing is that his change to the Judicial System is a threat to democracy.
Lets face it. There is an entrenched judicial system in place that really is like a medievil Guild system, with a handful of lawyers deciding who will be judges. They don't want to lose their power. One would think the Labor-affiliated parties would be adamently against a guild system.
If Israel is a theocracy as a country, what is it called when a Guild of lawyers have that much influence? The Latin word for law is "iuris" so the judicial system is a iuricracy.
Further, if the protester hate the elected governemnt so much, why didn't the center-right and/or the center-left form a coalition to offer an alternative to what they so publically resist now? The hatred of Netanyahu is so great that they refuse to broker a deal with him.
How valid are the criminal charges against Netanyahu? It seems they've been investigation him for ten years.

We have a similar system here. The American Bar Association gives “ratings” to nominees. If they can give a conservative a bad rating, it hurts in the confirmation process. I know they have tried to derail some nominations that way.
Leftist judges are, of course, always highly qualified. Even wise latinas and judges who don’t know what a woman is.
