An incredibly foolish statement from a man who appeared to have a great political future. Combine this Roth Nidrn’s shgresdive warmongering in europe wnd the Middle East, and china’s in Asia —- and we may be in for some very difficult and costly times

Yeah, they are not any kind of direct threat to the West, except for nuclear weapons, and they won’t dare use those, so that can generally be ignored.

Not really, when we have nuclear weapons of our own.

Desantis is spot on and gaining my respect and building street cred with comments like this…

Speaking more on Russia, DeSantis said he doesn't feel the United States should be "getting involved over things like the borderlands or over Crimea." He further cautioned about starting "a proxy war with China," who he said presents more of a danger to the U.S. than Russia.

"The fear of Russia going into NATO countries and all of that and steamrolling...That has not even come close to happening," DeSantis said. "I think they've shown themselves to be a third-rate military power. I think they've suffered tremendous, tremendous losses."

Finally, an adult talking. Far better than Trump's "Putin is a genius" comment when Russia first invaded.

DeSantis said the Biden administration should "identify what is the strategic objective that they're trying to achieve" in Ukraine rather than giving Zelensky "an open-ended blank check."

Exactly right again.

Who says that this is the most important issue facing the U.S.?

Unless of course, you want WWIII to break out. Because the more we get involved in this conflict the higher the changes rise for that to be the result.

“Bomb Russia now”!

I know you’re kidding, but in reality, it wouldn’t work. The Russians have the best air defense systems in the world.

“He’s absolutely right, and I’ve been saying the same thing for a long time — even here on FR. Russia’s military is Third World, at best.”

The one big difference is their 5,977 nukes. The Russian mentality allows for taking their enemy down with them as a last resort to an out and out defeat.

No, I don’t believe that is the case at all. He’s playing up to the GOPe for their support, because he is running regardless of what some people here think. Otherwise, he would have no real reason to even make the statement he made.

I’m not going to switch from supporting Trump to supporting DeSantis, but glad to know he isn’t a neocon.

2nd, the US providing security for Europe has allowed them to shift money to their social welfare programs. No more, as the Europeans are more than capable of stopping Putin going beyond Ukraine.

Americans are tired of the Iraq’s, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan wars, and rapidly getting tired of another 200 billion to Ukraine and now paying Ukrainian pensions.

“Not really, when we have nuclear weapons of our own”.

Not really when we have Biden and Miley and Austin in charge.

You trust the idiots more than I do. There’s no assured MAD with them in charge.
