> Arguably, Baldwin could just accept responsibility for being the dumbass that he is and plea bargain for a year in prison. <
A real man would do that. But Baldwin is not a real man. He’s just another Hollywood phony. And he’d immediately fire any attorney who’d suggest such a thing.
As a side note, many years ago some famous American actor (I forget who) was convicted of marijuana possession in the UK. He was in the States at the time. But he accepted responsibility, voluntarily went back to the UK, and served his time.
I think I got that story right. I just wish I could remember who it was.
Okay, I will play what IF:
Take away Baldwin from the whole incident and replace yourself. You are an ACTOR on a movie set. You are called to shoot a scene. The armorer hands you a pistol. You would NEVER, EVER, think that there was real ammunition loaded in the weapon. The director calls action and you point the gun and pull the trigger. The young woman next to the camera drops.
What are YOU as an actor guilty of ?
You didn’t load the gun. The armorer did.
Now, as producer of the movie. Yes, he is liable. Not as an actor.
Negligent manslaughter.
Was it Stacy Keach?
Robert Mitchum in 1949.
I,was just gonna say that. It would take a man of moral, fortitude to admit they were wrong, but that is not Alec, not by a long shot- he has been a scumbag towards the victims families and set crews, blaming everyone else but himself from day one of the shooting
