Yes, he was a Navy lawyer instead of taking over daddy’s business. It’s comical how none of you Trumpies ever admit Trump has real flaws that are difficult to overlook. You’re fully invested in the cult of personality. And that’s fine, but you’ll find no quarter when you gather on pro-Desantis threads simply to demonize Desantis and have to twist yourself into a pretzel to find Desantis’ flaws. If all you have is “he was a Navy lawyer who worked for the government!” then you’re going to have a rough couple of years.
Indeed.
The hypocrisy when Trump came on blows my mind.
I mean, I didn’t fully trust Trump, but I didn’t fully dislike him either. Neutral - seeing his show opened my eyes somewhat.
But before Trump: FRers constantly haranguing Rs for being “wealthy”, or for not having MIL service.
Now, they completely ignore that - not a peep about them on FR since Trump was elected. Meanwhile, they’d defend Bush about MIL service compared to Dems who belittled his NG status (and belittle it themselves if compared to better Repub), and then disparage Bush for being from a rich family, etc.
(Not that I myself thought these are REQUIREMENTS - I just cannot help notice the hypocrisy.)
