2014 is when Russia invaded Crimea. That is when we saw what Russia was about. Putin has stated his desire to reunite “greater Russia”. If there is a war against Nato Russia started it. Most of us do not want to go back to dealing with a ruthless, brutal predatory regime in Moscow that we hack to constantly look over our shoulder at.Most countries do not just go out and start wars like Putin has. Russia will just have to learn the hard way.
Two men ran for president of Ukraine. One promised closer ties to the EU with loans from them and the other promised closer ties with Russia and a zero interest aid package from Russia. The latter of the two won.
Then a Obama-regime coup occurs in 2014 in Ukraine with Russia invading Crimea shortly thereafter.
Whatever happened to Ukraine being “sovereign” to elect then leaders it wats?
The borders of Europe have moved back and forth for a thousand years without any help from the United States.
The EU has armies, money, and nuclear weapons. Let them handle it if the care to.
It is not America’s fight.
What NATO country did Russia attack? Certainly not Crimea or Ukraine, as they are not part of NATO. It's a civil war over there, with the natives jockeying over control of lands. We have no business being there, let alone sending F-16 aircraft. You want WWIII, you'll get WWIII. Center of power centuries ago was in Kiev, where the royalty held power over Russia. Later on, it shifted to Moscow. Leaders in Moscow shifted control of border lands (Ukraine) back and forth, and now Putin is trying to grab back control of border lands. We should stay out of it. Let Germany go it alone, and not involve us.
Russia will just have to learn the hard way.
And just how much is that going to coat us?
