“Escape to New Jersy”
Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

I'm not thrilled with New Jersey anything, however it appears that this gal pulled off her escape there without endangering any innocent bystanders.
(one of the reasons I posted this)

Happened to a friend of mine.
Boyfriend was super sweet around parents and relatives but had a dark side he showed her. On the surface, he was good looking, charming, and came from a good family. In private, he was aggressive and controlling. She stopped seeing him right away and warned her parents about him. Her father would not let him into the house and told him to stay away.
He didn’t like that.
He jumped her outside of her job, beat the hell out of her, and took her to his parent’s lake house in upstate NY. He tortured her repeatedly (starvation, strangulation, sexual assault, violent beatings, keeping her bound up) over the next month until she finally got away when he left to go to the store.
She needed reconstructive surgery on her face, months of physical and mental therapy, has scars on her body, and is now deaf in one ear.
He went to prison for years.
So, yeah, this happens.
Monsters walk among us everyday.

LOL! I hear you Bro! But even the toilet state of NJ is preferable to being held captive by some psycho. It is a fairly small state and you can get out of it fairly quickly.
